My optus - mobiles, landline and internet is down.
Three mobile is completely inoperable in Brisbane atm so I've been told from three's helpdesk in sydney.

Anyone else experiencing this?

I'd blame Gophers too. You know how much is costs if you hit one of those cables...

Our Optus account manager says it's a cut fibre but didn't go into any details.. attack of the backhoe operators.

my 3 mobile is working fine...

our telstra onramp 10 is down so no office phones for us. my bigpond cable at home is fine, and our telstra internet direct at the office is fine. my 3 mobile is unable to text/call

Yeah phones down at my work... also just discorvered mobile phone is down :(

actually no it's not, says full signal on 3 but i can't send any sms

same here on optus. Try calling yourself, you wont be able to get through.

I haven't tried sending any sms' but every phone call i try and make on my 3 mobile has come up saying that the service is down or something, but yes, still has full reception.

yeah seems to be All BNE and some other parts of QLD. Big s*** for optus which must be causing a ridiculous amount of hassles. Better be fixed by tomorrow morn or I'm f***ed.

Tomorrow morning? Will it really take that long to fix? I can't find anything about it on the news or what not...

yeah our internets and phones are through optus at work.

Have rerouted both our internet and PBX through a commodity ADSL line, so we're limping along until optus fixes itself.

I couldn't ring out this morning.
I couldn't use the internet.
I went shopping to pass the time (for essentials, not like a girly shop or anything) and even then I had trouble using my cards as the shops phones were down.

Bastards!

Just in time for me to read QGL during my lunch break.

Internet/eftpos etc has been down at work all morning!
Plus like ALL of optus' phone numbers were unavailable!

Optus, the carrier, turns to s*** because of a fibre cut AND a 'hardware' failure on a redundant link? Whoops.
