Gizmodo have a video of a trip into the Lego vault that contains an unopened box of every Lego set ever created.
During the video I glimpsed some sets that I had when I was young. Mainly train lego. Were you into lego? and if so what kind? |

What copyright reasons would mean they have to remain unopen?
that was a real flashback. Space & castles. I can't wait till my kid(s) are old enough for lego, tried duplo a few weeks back but 1 year olds just don't get it. |

The original Lego Star Destroyer they released was an epic monster of a kit - Vaguely recall people who bought it saying it took the best part of 4-5 hours to built.. I only ever saw one once at the Star Wars: Magic of Myth exhibition in Sydney about 6-7 years ago & it was huge. Not to mention bloody expensive!

A friend of mine has the Star Destroyer and Death Star kits.
Both remain boxed because they're too f***ing big and he has no room in his apartment to build them. :) |

pirate lego ftw. Agreed. One of my mates had a bunch of pirate stuff, the ships were badass! I still have my electric freight train from when I was younger stashed away somewhere :D |

And coloured bricked that went outside of primary and secondary colours.
And customised facial art. And purpose built pieces. Takes the imagination for creating new things away.. :P |

all i know is i loved my train lego so much. it is all still packed away at my parents place.
it started with this train http://static.flickr.com/2324/2180829142_8dc48987e6_b.jpg then i electrified the tracks, and put in points, then remote control points, then lights on the train. so much fun. |

Thats an awesome video. I still remember getting the space lego they were showing there for Xmas in 1979. I still have most of it, my kids play with it now. I also the the technic lego chopper they were showing (got the box too). Lego truly is the ultimate too.
