The Firefox team have confirmed the release date of the next major update for Firefox, the anticipated version 3.0. It will be available to the unwashed masses on the 17th of June - although in fairly typical US-centric thinking, this doesn't include an exact time or timezone - probably early on the morning of the 18th for Australians. Don't forget the Mozilla team are trying to break a world record for the most software downloads in 24 hours, so help them out! Update: Somehow I wrote July instead of June. Sorry! It's next week, people! |

How convenient. I'm capped, and my quota renews on the 18th, so I wont be waiting 12 hours for the thing to download.

Unfortunately only half of my addons are compatible with FF3 .. come on developers!
I'm capped, and my quota renews on the 18th, so I wont be waiting 12 hours for the thing to download. What speed does your ISP cap at? It would have taken you 20 mins to grab FF3 RC3 @ 6kB/s anyway. |

Yeah, I was exaggerating. what are some noteworthy addons for firefox? i only got a usage meter. feel like im getting left out. Adblock and gestures are the first two addons I get for a fresh Firefox installation. |

I hope they make tabmix plus compatible quicksmart I'm sick of the google search bar opening in the current tab instead of a new tab like it did in FF2

I think it's obvious, Trog works for an opposing browser company and doesn't want mozilla to get that world record :p
+1 for unplug, simplest and very effect online media grabber. I use video download helper or something, it actually attempts to keep the original video file name, unplug just seems to save everything as get video.flv or whatever the site calls their video viewer. |

Sorry for bumping this... but my firefox says it's the latest version at 2.0.0.15. If I manually update, will it keep all my plugins and saved settings?
