If you don't give prioirty to your boss, or other noteworthy superiors you're an idiot. PAs often have a lot of influence over their boss, therefore you should always treat PAs with care and attention. Sure they probably don't deserve the extra attention, but the person they work for does.

PAs are assistants. They don't do anything significant as such.

If anything, the day is recognition of just how replaceable they are. All PAs will be robots in the very near future.
