Someone did actually make a USD60,000 remote control B2, was filming it, and crashed it on camera. Kinda funny. Large explosion :)

How awesome does it sound! Be awesome to strap a camera on the nose and get some awesome footage dive bombing random pedestrians and/or drivers

Well, if an F-18 kit is anything to go on, between 10 and 15 thousand US dollars for a turn-key kit.

* plus another 3 or so for the turbine

I have this flight simulator thing that teaches you how to fly those things along with RC choppers. f*** it's hard trying to figure out which way the plane is facing and which way up it is, I preferred flying the choppers since you could just stop and hover.

If you're thinking of getting an rc plane or helicopter beyond the very simple polystyrene ones I highly recommend you buy this. I say buy because you get the controller with it that is just like the real controller would be on the plane/chopper. Lets you mess about with things without paying to repair when you crash :)

They have a jet about that size if not bigger at the remote control shop at Indro. I think it was $700 for just the body of the jet. I asked the guy about engines and he said he doesn't know how much they are, but you'd need 2 for it (i think it was a TomCat) and they had to be ordered in from the States.

That thing would be so f***ing hard to fly.

I think the most impressive part was the landing. And the sound. f***ing sweet as.

Billy is that the one next to the cinemas? I've never once seen them make a sale. The guy is pretty much always just off in la-la land from boredom.

Supposedly from one of the comments on youtube:

The afterburner effect is a just ring of LED lights that is connected to the throttle channel or a switch. That's why it doesn't consume any fuel. LOL. Just a little sad that torchr isn't sharing where he got it from when a few people have asked. I've seen the product somewhere. I'll dig out the link.

Confirm/deny? Regardless that's awesome. Wonder if it can do Mach speed LOL.
