Seems like as good a place as any to ask.

The last couple of sets I've bought haven't made it through even the first cut and I take them back.

Anyone have a good brand that works?

Remington... from kmart i think. I've only used it twice but it seems to do the job.
I had this s***ty black and decker one years ago that ripped ya hair out it was rough as.

my bro shaves his own head every 2 weeks back to a number 2, he used to have some cheap kmart crap, breville i think, and they were pretty darn average. i asked my barber what he uses and he told me that he just buys whatever professional type ones are available, usually WAHL, and he said that a pair of clippers is only as good as the blades on em. he said to get them sharpened is like $20 and a new set is $30 and a new set lasts longer than a sharpened set so go with that.

told this to my bro, he went to 'the shaver shop' and bought an $80 set of WAHL ones and apparently they cut heaps better, he can push them straight through without them getting caught.

I'm the same as Mr Hardware's brother. I shave my head every two or three weeks to a number 2 (except for my mohawk for world's greatest shave ;) )and have been using a Wahl set for 8 or 10 years. My dad uses it too. We do look after it though, don't drop it and keep it oiled.

Go to your hairdresser, say you want to buy some clippers - if they aren't a f***head they will buy them for you
