Hey guys!

Some friends of mine are having trouble setting up a Belkin router with two machines thru ADSL. I haven't seen it yet plus I'm a noob when it comes to this stuff so is there anyone here that has some tips on what to do? Settings etc...

router - Belkin 802.11G
isp - TPG

So what is happening, each machine will connect to the net by itself, when two are connected there's a problem.

Any help is appreciated before I head over their place in a few hours.

Make sure DHCP and NAT is turned on in the router (which should be the default settings anyhow)

Ensure both computers have thier network adapters set to auto detect IP and auto detect DNS. (which is also the default settings)

They've probably got one connected via USB and one connected via Cat5e and the modem doesn't like that... God I hate modems confusing people.

is the router connected to the a modem??? is the modem in bridge mode???

Yeah, the router is hooked up to a modem.

I'm not sure what the modem is set at right now. Is that a physical switch on the modem itself or something that has to be changed in software?

You could always try rerouting the encryption

Invert the negative power couplings.

Reverse the flux capacitators as well?

Maybe the streams were crossed as well
