Hi folks, anyone know of a place in Brisbane that sells XBOX DVD drives or the laser assembly kits? The only one I can think of is Burn but those hopeless f***s never reply to my emails and I'm too lazy to call.

i live above burn in cathedral place, they're pretty useless
theres a guy on the northside who sells "upgrade" dvd roms for them, so would that indicate that you can put non genuine xbox dvd players?

if this is original xbox drives I tried getting a laser, apparently they don't make them anymore. You can put certain non OEM drives in if you get the exact model specified and flash it with the xbox burners BIOS and know your way around microchips, ocilliscopes and soldering irons. f*** that noise. I'd like a replacement drive for my original xbox too :(

Pretty sure you can still get them, for the Samsung drives atleast.

From China...so I guess that doesn't really help.

Just grab one off ebay. they're a piece of piss to replace. No harder than a standard PC, just need the torx screwdrivers.
