as of today i keep getting this error code when trying to sign into windows live messenger error code: 81000306, apparently alot of people have been having problems with it, i am using vista and everything i have tried has not worked, i have reinstalled it, i tried the auto tune feature which is meant to help for vista but did not work. i did have this problem once before and managed to fix but i be f***ed if i can remember what it was. had something to do with deleting contacts from a folder. any help would be great.

I have re-installed windows live messenger on my computer loads of times now, but it always manages to f*** up. So, I now use pidgin, less crap, aaaand it actually works :)
