I've seen about 11 movies so far this year. There has been some good s***, but There Will Be Blood and No Country For Old Men are the only 5 star movies imo. 3:10 to Yuma and American Gangster were the next two best. Of the lot No Country For Old Men would be the one I go see a second time. Especially at the Vic Pt cinema on the new 25 m screen.

There Will Be Blood is what you'd call an epic. It's like one man's saga. I don't want to spoil it but although it involves his son it is really all about Daniel Day-Lewis' chraracter, and his acting in this is impressive as always.

edit: just to add while we're on the topic of movies - do not see jumper.

agreed the whole movie was just brilliant, acting was superb. this guy will win the best actor award guarantee it.
