I've heard some good things about this movie, thinking of going to see it sometime. Apparently a good adaptation of a Stephen King novel of the same name, googling reviews most appear positive . Anyone seen it?

I heard your mum was crap, and she doesn't disappoint.

yer i think its based on a Richard Bachman book of short stories (aka Stephen King) if its anything like the book it will rock .

the title alone sounds crap.

I went into this movie expecting little and that's what i was given for the first 30 minutes or so. It started out looking pretty bad, the initial introduction to the "creatures" was horrible (acting, scene setup and computer animation).

After a while though I felt as though the movie picked up a bit. It started to take on a slightly different feel/angle, which i didn't expect. There could have been more action imo, not much was explained and the ending was unneccessary and pissed off my girlfriend :)

I'd describe it as a mix between lord of the flies and cloverfield (I didn't give this too much thought btw)

I'd be interested to see what other people think.

Watched this yesterday and thought it was really cool. It's not often you get a good Stephen King horror movie so this was a pleasant surprise.

A couple of things that sorta sucked though. First was when the black lawyer dude takes the group of people outside to look for help and then you don't see what happens to them. I was sorta expecting him to turn up a bit later or maybe captured by those spider things.

Second was the ending. Well the part where he kills everyone was great because happy Hollywood endings can suck. But what I hated was the military were heading back where the creatures were with civilians in their trucks. I was like WTF? Shouldn't they at least make sure everything is f***ing safe? FFS, there's those crazy-ass spiders in there. f*** heading back there so quick.

So yeah, damn cool movie overall. Definitely recommend this one.

Haha... this was seriously one of the worst movies I have ever seen. Story was a ripper B grade story that should have been really easy to make half decent... but on the whole it was a really really bad movie. Special effects were so lame and when you first see the creatures it totally ruined the rest of the film.

i thought it was pretty good

you haters suck, the movie was f***ing cool and the ending was f***ing krad.
the movie focused more on how people turn to any solutions when they are affraid even if the solution is bat s*** crazy.

also the crazy mother that ran outside when the mist first came to get her children was on the refugee truck at the end

Like I said, the story was pretty cool, it was just executed so f***ing badly. To be honest, I have forgotten most of what happened because it was so bad. I left the movie wanting my money back, which I very rarely do.

I downloaded the trailer off upube a cpl of wks ago and as soon as I saw the crappy creatures and poo effects I wrote this s***e off as a Tight-Arse Tuesday DVD rental.

I thought it was decent, nothing spectacular but not a bad watch.

so this was based on the bachman books short story?

wow, hollywood is super duper out of new ideas eh?
