As per the other TF2 thread, there's a fair few people interested in joining the QGL TF2 clan... but it seems to be chockers already so it was suggested we create a 2nd clan.

I'm definetely interested.

We'll see if we can get up some numbers, post the class or classes you prefer to play (maybe in order from best to worst also).

I play mostly on internode servers.

I don't play much at all anymore and can basically only make weekends but if you don't mind having a stale mate on the clan for emergencies......

I really enjoy spy, but I'm a team player and every knob is selfish so I'm forced to be the only medic on the team... wouldn't mind being a medic in a clan though, but on pubs I uber a pyro/solider/heavy and for some reason the spastics duck behind walls or run back when they're getting attacked.

I was playing Gravel Pit today, we had 5 snipers... I just had to quit the game. Other lameness includes 9 engineers on Dustbowl once and of course everyday there's always some team with like 3 - 4 spies.

Added the name list in the original thread, there should be some other people interested and we'll be cooking.

IndianaCones - Mostly play Soldier, Medic, & Demoman... but I'm decent with just about all classes.

I'm keen, play as Captain Carnage but my steam userid is nick_denham (if that's what you need)

Will play as anything but am probably best at the following in descending order

Scout, Engineer, Demoman

Will happily practice other classes though if there's demand. I'm just sick of playing on pub servers where the games are frustrating.

Alright this is shaping up, I'll look into the sorting out the ladder part within the next day or two... just reading the rules it says "up to 8 players per team" on any given map, so I guess we need a solid 8 min. that can make it regularly before we start up.

I'll start adding everyone to Steam friends so we can have a few games together while we're waiting this clan to get in motion.

8 is a good goal but having slack of a 2 or 3 people will probably help as I'm sure everyone won't be available all the time. I'm excited, been looking forward to some decent scrimmages.

Argh! Yeah I don't often notice the chat log :( In pub servers unless I see a name I recognise I don't notice people are even in the server :) I tend to notice the [QGL] tagged guys because it stands out more though.

I play everything but pyro as you can see in my profile. I enjoyed the scout in tf and it's even better in tf2. I used to snipe in tf but they sort of f***ed that with no ability to zoom out.

Also I suggest a somewhat alternative tag even if we're calling ourselves QGL 2nd division (if the original QGL don't have a problem with that), we can't ride on there coat tails and all the other clans will get confused :)

1. Clan name (if Queenslanders! 2nd Div. isn't suitable)

2. Clan tag (we should definetely not have the same [QGL] tag as the other clan)... f***s me... [Q2D] maybe? I don't really care, it doesn't matter much, just everyone agree on something :)

Forum, I think it would be ideal if we could get an Ausgamers forum. Does anybody know what forum the other QGL clan uses? Phooks did a good job at aquiring the other forum but it might be easier for everyone involved to just use there Ausgamers accounts.

Besides that we basically just need to get everyone on the Gamearena ladder page and to get everybody on eachothers Steam Friends lists and we're ready too start moving foward.

It has the ring of stupidity/retardation in a simple package. If it's too hard to get ascii versions of backwards letters maybe use some l33t speak to achieve essentially the same result thematically.

We all use uppercase [QGL] for our tag, you could use lowercase [qgl] seeing you all are still from the forums, [Q2] for QGL team 2 or [QS] for qgl shortbus.

[QS] would be good but there's already a [q.S] or something similar that seem to be on every single internode serve. Come to think of it, I think d00b might be in there clan, or at least A d00b.

Really it doesn't matter, someone just make a decision and we'll stick to that, first suggestion for a non-spastic tag for QGL Shortbus and we'll lock it in.

you can have your own private forum that we cant see, but we can both talk about s*** in the main public forum to organise scrims etc. it would also be good to establish the link between our clans, otherwise you might as well be some completely separate randoms.
the actual forum is awesome, and mongie should be able to hook you up very quickly.

also i dont have a problem with you guys using [QGL], there's no need to segregate between us except maybe in scrims y'all could go lowercase. i see a million OCAU and WhirlPool [WP] guys, and it would be good to have a strong solid [QGL] presence too.

Thats awesome Strex :) I thought the original QGL clan might have been iffy about us coming in with a similar/same tag or having any sort of link in general.

I'm assuming our first few wars/scrims we'll be struggling before we start to gel as a team, so it would be great if you guys could battle us and work the kinks :D
