im after some comfortable headphones. something that i could wear for at least 7 hours a day without them s***ting me to tears and hurting my ears.

doesnt matter if theyre middling in sound quality or whatever, as long as i can wear them for extended periods.

would prefer to keep the budget somewhere under $150.

anyone have some experience and suggestions for some comfy headphones?

I tried a pair of these on in JB and they were pretty damn comfy. Only $120 too.

These are a bit outside the price you said, but I still felt the urge to give them props :)

Extremely comfy.
I kept my HP-890's for a LONG time, since they were so comfy... was reluctant to change, but stoked I did.

Sound really good.
Where you usually have the band that sits on your head, these are done with 2 independent pieces, on springs I guess.. -- you dot have something sitting on the top of your head all day. Win.

Awesome.

SteelSound 5H Professional Gaming Headset USB

It comes with its own USB sound card and handles virtual 7.1 surround. $125.00
Very good sound, very comfortable.

If you get a set and are running Vista, PM me and I'll shoot a link for the drivers. They only seem to give you XP drivers on the disk.

i got these ones. i wear em 8hrs a day. i had some stupid NR buds, but they sucked. these sit comfy and have the same quiteness as the NR ones. also, they are small enoof so you can wear em in public without looking like a tosser.

and they cost f all.
