Has anyone here been following what's been happening with Gaiaguys.net vs Ordo Templi Orientis over the years?

I don't have the mental energy in me right now to explain the entire backstory, but I just wrote a lengthy blog post about it. I'm curious if anyone else has any information about what happened? As of midnight thursday, Gaiaguys.net now only says "There is no site configured at this location" :(

This sucks. That site made your eyes bleed, but it was still one of the largest research archives into paedophilia rings and police corruption that Australia had.

I'll explain in the morning if people are interested, but for now I've got some questions for the people that speak legalese:

What needs to be proven for a guilty verdict in a "religious vilification" case?
Does it make any difference in the laws view if the offending material is expressed and presented as "personal opinion"?
If the same material were presented as a simple list of proven true facts, without biased language, would it still be "religious vilification" ?

From my limited early research it doesn't seem to make any difference in the laws eye between opinion (ie: "The pope reminds me of Darth Sidious")
and historical fact (ie: "Pope Urban II made a speech, calling for the first Holy Crusades, which resulted in many deaths.").

In the end, both of them tend to incite hate for a religion/religious figure. I guess what I'm asking, is does a statement's truth make any difference to its guilt of religious vilification?

I'd be thinking that if something is fact then it is allowed to be said, as long as there is no offending spin on it. ie, "Pope Urban II made a speech, calling for the first Holy Crusades, which resulted in many deaths."

However, "The dumbarse Pope Urban II made an evil speech, calling for the first Holy Crusades which resulted in the culling of faithless morons." or something like that could be against the law.

However, legal battles can also be won because one side has lots of money and the other doesn't. If the battle rages on for too long the side without money simply cannot afford to attend.

I really think you're going to have to explain things a bit better.

The other day I saw a video on youtube with something to do with 'gaia' and the comments for the video had a reply every ten seconds with some spammy 'gaia rulz ok' type posts. It was bizarre.

I looked up Gaia and found a community site with Anime/pokemon style pictures all over it, and indicated it was a site for teenagers to 'hang out'.

Are we talking the same Gaia?

Idol - This has nothing to do with spammy pokemon sites. "Gaia" on its own simply refers to mother earth (Didn't you ever see Captain Planet?) or an ancient greek goddess of the same name.

The site I'm talking about went by the name Gaiaguys, and started out originally as an environmental protection/discussion site. It's creator Dyson Devine was protesting the corrupt forces within his local council, illegally taking private & reserve land in the beautiful aussie bush, to be used for logging and developement. It's a really long story.

Over time, they branched out into other cases of police/government corruption and exposed and discussed hundreds of cases of extreme corruption, paedophilia, and more within Australia. From here, they did their research and found common links/groups between almost all of the cases. This eventually exposed severe corruption and cover-ups within the committee's organised to "investigate corruption". In almost every case, despite damning evidence and multiple inquiries by different groups, these very rarely got a mention in the mainstream media, and investigations regularly just closed without releasing their findings.

From what I see of online discussions with Dyson, around this point his interests moved towards what would be seen as more "out there" topics. He did extensive research and wrote articles about the influence of satanic cults, and their use of trauma-based mind-control to create child sex slaves for use in ritual sacrifice. Truly sickening stuff, but backed up with a scary amount of historical and recent evidence. He often pointed towards the writings of the founder of Ordo Templi Orientis (and high level mason), Aleister Crowley which discuss exactly how this is done, and exactly what the rituals involve.

My timeline is getting messed up here, but bear with me.

Sometime around '98ish, Dr Reina Michaelson (Who was Young Australian of the Year for '97) went public with a VERY interesting expose of what she'd discovered whilst running her Child Sexual Abuse Prevention Program (CSAPP) in Victoria. Multiple victims of extreme sexual & physical abuse spoke out about satanic rituals they had been forced to participate in, and of multiple murders of the children who tried to escape.

Outraged, she tried to get the police to intervene against a few groups that were named, only to be blocked at every step. Her program was infiltrated by people from these groups, and repeatedly sabotaged from within, and blocked from recieving funding by powerful groups (Including past premier and known abuser, Jeff Kennett).

Her story alone is a long and important part of Aussie history, that everyone should know about. It named and shamed MANY powerful figures within the police force, media (particularly channel 10) and government. I believe her story is the main motivation for silencing gaiaguys. They have supported her and helped spread her word when nobody would touch it. Reina hasn't appeared publicly for many years now, and has withdrawn her complaints after multiple threats were made against her and her family.

Gaiaguys.net hosted this story, were vocal in their support for her, and supplied massive amounts of evidence to back up almost all of her claims. This pissed off the Ordo Templi Orientis, who took the step to sue Reina Michaelson & Gaiaguys.net for religious vilification. Reina went quiet, but Gaiaguys's Dyson Devine stated he'd "rather be imprisoned then deny the truth".

Despite a court order to remove the material, nothing changed for over a year. Until late this November, when the couple was extradicted and threatened repeatedly, and then just dumped on the street 1600km from home.

His last posted words (anywhere, as far as I can tell) were "Please stay bookmarked, dear reader, and if there are no further website updates now you know why."

And now the site is down. Dyson isnt responding to any correspondance. Theres no news about it, or any scheduled court cases that I can see. He's just gone.

Sorry for the wall of text, but it took that much to even begin scratching the surface of this saga :(

It was actually in the media, but because of defamation laws they cut out important parts of the story. Reina did interviews on the abc, which are probably still available. The police corruption inquiries from the time kept getting cockblocked, and were closed early, but theres bound to be traces of them still online.

I'm just saying, if this is just a nutbar making s*** up, why is it such a big deal for it to be silenced?

I read it, I really did, but what can I do..? Can't even visit the bloody site anymore so I don't really feel like a part of the posse.

Perhaps because the people being accused are getting the s***s with it? Also what makes you think his version the of the story is true? There are certainly a lot of emotionally charged words thrown around in his story of what happened.

I'm not a daily stoner, I use it for pain relief like I mentioned in another thread last week sometime.

Because smoking pot interferes with your decision making. It makes you more accepting of things that you may otherwise regard as incorrect. I'll find a linky later, got to go out. Also there are far better medications for pain relief that have less sideeffects to weed.

Smoking Pot has absolutely nothing to do with my feelings about this story, or my stance on police corruption, paedophiles and satanic ritual abuse.

I'm not just some random tool that reads stories on the net, and decides thats how things are. I have had multiple first-hand f***ED UP experiences with both corrupt cops, paedophiles AND have known and supported multiple victims of ritual abuse, over the last FIVE YEARS.

I don't want to go into detail here, I just thought I should make it clear that it wasn't just this story that made me a believer. It was solid, first hand experience. This story came afterwards and simply confirmed what I already knew to be the truth.

(And no, I wasn't f***ing raped, before anyone says it)

I just read a portion of your website smashchrab and in particular the post from gaiguy's "creator". It reads like he's a nut. For example, he writes that a message was handwritten, faxed and then emailed to him. Right... That doesn't sound freaky at all.
