I have a mate that bought, well he thought he did, some big day out tickets for QLD. He payed for them and never recieved them. I think they were for sale on gumtree.com.au

Does anyone know if there is anyway to trace the person. The bank account is in NSW. The details are:

The name that he gave me was J. John
The bank is Greater Building Society, BSB 637000 and Account Number 714789821
Email address is crazyfrog@live.com.au
He said he was from Foster in New South Wales

If anyone could help that would be great. Thanks

Yea i thought that aswell. There was some story to go along with it.

gumtree are owned by ebay so there might be some common policy/user agreements around the place...

Has he reported this fraud/theft to the police?

Foster is in northern NSW, probably closer to get Gold Coast tickets than Sydney tickets.

monaro, can you please let your mate know that i am due to receive $46m in an inheritance, except it is locked up in a trust court battle and I need $40,000 to run my legal case.

HOWEVER, if he wants to help me fund my court case I will shave off $2m for him in compensation for what I admit seems a very risky proposition.

I would be forever in his indebtedness.

Yea it has been reported to the police. But they dont do muuch unless it is ova 10 grand that has been lost.

talk to a lawyer, they'll be able to request the records from the bank and get his details (ie, its fraud)
then you have to take him to court

anyways you can just find out his address from the above? and then go and meet and greet this suspected fiend ?

Just think of the cost of the tickets as idiot tax and get on with life.
