err, what ever qos is, sure, i'll give it a try

rara, i tried sygate lastnight, not where could i see a bandwidth cap or anything, it basically just let u share the net, did u have to liscence it first, before u got most of the otpions.

oh and which version are u runing the home, or the office

QoS doesn't capp the connection but the netowrk cards itself... so that means when u goto lans and start leeching... yay 1.5k/s

but if u really want a decent router get a p90 or something like that and stick mandrake security (linux) on there... or if u know how to use linux stick slackware or debian on as they are much more powerfull.

I got sick of tooling around with WinGAte and linux boxes, so I bought a router. Everythings appels now :)

PS Anyone want to buy a box suitable for linux?

yeah hardware routers are good but are very centered around a specific task...

You might oneday decide to have a party in you basement where ur router is... Now if that were a slow computer you could use it as a jukebox

QoS packet scheduler description
Quality of Service Packet Scheduler. This component provides network traffic control, including rate-of-flow and prioritization of services.

but if u share the i/c and all of a sudden u want to transfer a file u need to burry your way through group policy to lift the cap... a software solution would be much easier insted of fiddling with microsux os.
