Valves The Orange Box already looks to be a big hit on PC, many players that had previously purchased Half-Life 2 handing over their cash again for the new goodies in this epic bundle. Half-Life 2, Episode One, Episode Two, Team Fortress 2 and Portal - Five games for the price of one. A healthy US dollar conversion has made the Steam service a great option. But what about console gamers?

The Orange Box has also just landed on shelves for the Xbox 360 and we've been spending some quality time with it... a lot of quality time. Find out why in today's review.

1000 Xbox 360 Achievement points are divvied up between the 5 games.
Why is this a negative?

Tried playing portal on the 360. It sucked. So much better on PC.

Nah don't worry it's a running gag, nothing spoilered.

Because you finish 20 hours of Half-Life 2 and end up with 250GP. The same time in BioShock nets you like 800. Obviously it's not Valve's fault, MS only allows 1000 total per game - it's just an unfortunate consequence of such an awesome bundle.

I imagine it'd be a lot harder to complete the least time challenges not using a mouse.

Definitely. The other ones, least portal's steps etc can be more difficult to because it's a lot harder to do things like throwing the cubes. For casual level play though I think I almost prefer the 360 control.

By the way, Valve confirmed there's a Weighted Companion Cube plush toy that'll be available in time for Christmas. 2 months too late imo, but still :)

It will make a find addition to the Rhinovirus sitting on top of my screen.
