so I've got 1 x 20" Apple display and 1 x 24" Dell display
apple = primary, dell = off to the right for watching movies/etc in bed

ever since adding the second display I've had stupid problems like anything I full screen on the apple will often overlap by 2-3mm to the dell
if I try and drag a window to enlarge it, the system kinda crawls (but only on the apple display)

they both run at max res, I run ultramon for an extended start menu bar and the cpu is core2 duo @ 2ghz or something, heaps of ram/video card is still reasonbly new

the problem where it overlaps on the dell doesn't happen with *every* application, but a majority of them

wtf

I've had a little bit of window funny business since adding a dell 24" too

bit annoying but hasn't come close to pissing me off enough to do anything about it yet

I've been dealing with it for a few weeks, started off as a bit of a small annoyance, now I just want to fix it..

might see if there's any driver updates for either monitor and video card

do you run anything like ultramon/goscreen etc Jim?

nope just vanilla xp with nvidia drivers

I get some windows that are maximised on the dell, hanging over onto the other monitor, and the other symptom I notice is some windows just inexplicably completely resized as small as they can possibly be after alt-tabbing back to that app. a couple of other times I've had windows resized really wide across the 24" screen.

quite weird
