I'm looking for some good qualtiy salami/pepperoni, the stuff at Woolies is absolutely pitiful and I don't want to eat that HANS crap either.
When I was up north I went to a small family deli that made their own sausages, very tasty... is there anywhere like this in Brisbane? |

I live at that Emporium complex in the Valley, and the Deli downstairs sells about 20 different types sausages. Wagyu sausages = yum :)

On the topic of cheese though, is there anywhere in Brisbane that sells fresh mozzarella? I'm talking the real deal, eat the same the day it's made kind of s***? |

come to EU - the faghats here have no idea how to cut up a cow so they just mince everything and turn it into deli goods - they have various sized meats for your rimming pleasure

making cheese is terribly boring... just finished small course on it within my chef's training... just something that doesn't interest me at all
although the cheese was rather nice at the end. last edited by smart at 18:14:13 17/Oct/07 |

farmers markets at new farm are every 2nd saturday. Google Jan Powers Farmers Markets she has several all over brisbane.
There is actually a small goods people on the northside around Geebung. Some of their small goods (hams etc) are DAMN good. Best Cabana in town imo. Otherwise there is always New Farm Deli which is pretty reputed as one of the best in brisbane. |

James St Markets has a pretty decent range, as does the IGA at Baroona Road in Milton, and the Kangaroo Point IGA (weird, but these two seem to get into the gourmet cheeses, meats and other canape style things).
Cheers, Ges. |
