Hi all,

Just incase anyone is interested, Games Warehouse (www.gameswarehouse.com.au) are now taking pre-orders for Hellgate: London and assigning beta keys and dye kits. Beta test starts 17th (US I'm sure Yapa) and goes till October 7th I believe.

Just put a pre-order in for Hellgate: London, then also add the Hellgate: London preorder item to your cart before checkout and they should send you a beta key.

Cheers.

(btw, dye kit is "wasp" green / yellow)

Hmm, I had a look at the movies and got a bit scared that their videos chugged like a $2 hooker on a foreign submarine at times.

On quite a few occasions their frame rate dropped to what seemed like sub 10fps.
While I know things like Fraps cause massive hits to framerate when recording I haven't noticed other companies have this problem with teaser trailers.
[i Also got scared when I saw the EA logo... That could be why i'm pretty critical and reserved already :P]

Looks kinda like Devil May Cry for those interested.
I'd be keen to give it a bash and see what it's like cause it looked like it could be mindless fun, but not pay for it [pre-order] to test it out.

It's made by Bill Roper, diablo styles not devil may cry. But I do agree that it looks choppy as.

The guys over at Voodoo Extreme have been playing the alpha and they said it runs silky smooth on their PC. I wants it.

Boba was going to pre-order it, but he's hanging out for the one with the Pink and Purple dye pack.

Seems great, $240 for lifetime membership, though.

($150 + $90)

Just a bump, is anyone playing/has played this and is considering lifetime membership?

From the videos I've seen it looks pretty good, and very diablo II-ish.

Post when you've put a couple hours into it would ya tibbetts? It'll be good to get some idea of how well the game design works.

I would love to post, but I've been at work...and when I got home last night the servers were down - THE PAIN! Hopefully they'll be up tonight so I can play for a few hours.

Does anyone know if like EB does this as well? If I pre-order it there can I get a beta key?

I played for about an hour last night. Very fun so far. The graphics are quite nice, but the performance could be better IMO....that being said it is a 'beta' so hopefully it will improve a little before release. Still, I'm running with everything up full, but I've had to turn the AA down to low. I'm playing on vista so I've got some DX10 goodness happening too :)

DON'T DO THE TUTORIAL! It's horribly slow and you can't skip though it...essentially it tells you how to move, and open your inventory. If you've played any RPG/FPS game before just ignore it and dive in. As far as how it plays, well, it plays really well...it feels hack and slashy, it's an first/3rd person game but it's not about aiming, bad guys have very generous hit boxes. Anyway, I planned on playing again this morning but the server is down :( Damnit.

EB usually can't get any pre-order with special offers right... I'd avoid them.

I was about to play it for a few hours over the weekend and I'm sold! SOLD! Go buy this game. Still s***ted off about the stupid f***ing decision to NOT include LAN Play...but the game has redeemed itself partially in my eyes. It's just fun!
