The worst thing about Thank God You're Here is this ...

In theatre sports (which is what this really is) there is a kind of rule that says if one person says something the other people have to go with it. TGYH doesn't have room for that because everyone's lines are scripted except for one person.

So a typical conversation on Thank God You're Here looks like this

Actor: "What time is it?"
Contestant: "It's 3 o'clock"
Actor: "No actually it's 12 o'clock"

i think half the spin is watching the radio jerks get it wrong. but what makes a good radio jerk is one that gets it wrong but still makes it feel like hes right.

I agree Heliar choked, but the other 3 were pretty good...especially Josh Lawson his was great, mind you he has had a few cracks at it before.

I'm just glad it's back, the little setup segment bits are always funny too...

Its not called "Thank god you guessed the correct time".

He's got a point though. That lady got raided hard... there was no room for improv, it was just the supporting actors feeding her lines and shutting her down everytime she went off on a tangent.

"Thank God You're Here" isn't the worst show on TV but when it comes to improv it pales in comparison to Whose Line Is It Anyway (US and UK versions).

Who's Line US > Thank God You're Here > Who's Line UK

I actually can't stand whos line is it anyway, but anyway :P

Whose Line UK is more high brow humour and often a little Brit-centric. US one is a bit broader and more easily accessible. I like em both equally for different reasons.
Thank God isn't a bad show though, but it's a bit hit and miss.

Only just got around to watching it, all of them exception of Hilliar were bloody funny, but I would have given the win to Cal Wilson again.

Wierd thing is usually Ten put the winning skit up on the site, cept Josh Lawson won, and they one of the other performances up.
