So....
my sister tried to buy some stuff online from justjeans.com.au When she clicks 'checkout' it says "cannot securely connect to www.justjeans.com.au because the site uses an old, insecure version of the SSL protocol" I tried on my computer and got the same problem. She submitted a problem report to them and got the following response: It is most likely that the reason for this is to do with creating a secure link with our server. This is to do with your SSL -Secure Socket Layer settings. And similar instructions for every browser under the sun including FF2 Firefox 2.0.x Can people that know the internets please try to add something to the 'bag' then checkout at justjeans and let me know if they have this problem too. I don't see how me and my sister (who's computer i've never touched so can't have broken like mine) can both have the same problem. It seems to me it's actually their site. Edit: to make subject more descriptive. |

IE7 just refused to load the checkout page after I 'added an item to the bag'
Firefox 1.5.0.11 totally bog standard loaded the page fine with no change of settings - I checked the firefox setting in about:config and it's already set to true which is probably why. Then I checked my IE7 settings as you described above and the 'use SSL 2' radio button wasn't enabled - I enabled it and then the https checkout on the site worked fine in IE7 also. So it sounds like their info is right, but bit of a brave move though on their part requiring SSL2 for their shopping cart. Seems a sure-fire way of detracting from the success of your venture into the online sales world. |

I got a problem as well.. I figure if a company can't make their web site work then they don't deserve the business.

I also got the error.
I followed the instructions provided for FF2 and it's now working. Your post didn't say if you had tried them, only that they were provided, as far as I can see. last edited by Triamks at 22:04:47 13/Jun/07 last edited by Triamks at 22:04:50 13/Jun/07 |

I haven't tried them, i suspected they would work, i just thought it was a bit strange that two different default installs of firefox on two different machines wouldn't be able to purchase stuff from their shop, and suspected it was their shop.
Turns out it is their shop, if i understand correctly, they require higher than default security to buy anything. |

I'm sure it would probably instill some confidence in people who don't really like online shopping normally

it's actually the opposite natslovr - they require an older insecure version of SSL

Isn't there a Levi's jeans outlet just near DFO on the corner of Nudgee Rd and the one that goes to Sandgate Rd?
