Topic: RTCW CD-Key Problem

i was playin under an invalid cd-key (single player and LAN only), until x-mas i got a legal version. now the new cd-key wont work over the net. (INVALID CD-KEY)

any idea's of how to get rid of the old cd-key.

I toatally uninstalled it and then installed the New copy.

i checked and deleted the rtcw folders in regedit also
still says invalid cd-key

There's a menu option in the configuration area where you can enter your key

make sure you dont try and connect through serverquery etc cause it doesnt seem to work.

just go into wolf multi and manaually connect from console.
eg:
/connect wolf2.wireplay.com.au:27998

tries that every time i go to it it dosent have the last 2 figures in for some reason. i type them in and try to join a server. still no good.

some how it is still picking up the burnt versions cd-key.

Yeah! Dan's Idea worked, but why would that have any difference with joining a server anyother way?

and thats the only way it works.

Apparently "all seeing eye" or some s*** can connect without error... Just add the servers you play on the your favourites list in the in-game browser though, It isn't that f***ing hard.

And yes, this has been posted waaaaaay too many times on every gaming forum in the world.
