I just drove past on the way to work down Railway Terrace and there's a heap of cops, ambo and a firey. First thoughts were that they found a body there this morning and thats the current rumour at work.

Also there was a body with a sheet over it.

Receptionist walked past. I get off other end of that train so didn't see it.

Rail death causing major delays

A 45-year-old woman has died in an accident at Milton train station, causing massive delays to peak hour Citytrain services on the Ipswich/City line.

Is it back up and running now? I was going to be training it into Milton later today. Maybe I'll get the bus instead : /.

Someone has just lost their life and all anyone can care about is train delays.

guy at my work saw the body as his train went past. was covered with a sheet but there was blood everywhere. apparently it was a suicide. they found a note where she said she had contaminated food at a servo.

what does contaminated food have to do with the price of a train ticket to milton?

The same way it's been done by other a******s (if thats indeed true) a thousand times before.
Needles or metal fragments or whatever else injected in or laced through food items.

If the suicide and contamination is true then f*** her, stupid bitch can rot.

will they send her coffin down into the hole by placing it on a treadmill?

On a serious note, is there more than one train line into the city? If not, there should be. I mean busses can either take the busway or if a bus breaks down in there they could compete with peak hour traffic & use the highway, either way there's at least 2 ways for a bus to go.

Comitting suicide by jumping in front of a train is f***ed up. The driver now has some serious therapy to go through as well as all the people that saw it happen.

Do it at home by eating bucket after bucket of KFC or something.

I hate to be Captain Obvious, but buses can take another route because there is already road infrastructure in place for them to take another road. Trains ... good luck building new train tracks through the CBD.

Thanks captain obvious, what I was asking is "Is there more than one train line" obviously the answer is no then. I don't ever take the train anywhere so I don't know. What I was saying is there SHOULD be more than 1 line. They could build it above the old line up on stilts for all I care.

that sort of irritated me about the artical.. specially when they said it was an accident.

i catch a train to work every day at peak hour, and i don't want any accident happening to me thanks.

Yeah there's 4 tracks at Milton, surely they didn't need to close them all...

they found a note where she said she had contaminated food at a servo.

f*** I hope it's not the IGA on Milton Road, I buy food there all the time : /

Possible conection?

QUEENSLAND police are investigating a contamination threat to the Matilda petrol station chain.

A spokesman said Matilda recently received a letter threatening contamination, but it was not specific.

It's horrible to hear of someone dying like this but the fact is that whoever this woman is, she was an adult and she chose her own pathway in life (and death) and only she can be held responsible for that.

Also, that's interesting about the food contamination thing.
