Was f***ing amazing, absolutely loved every minute of it. The special effects etc in it are awesome, the story is awesome, the use of animals (rhino, elephant) and men in the battle is really cool as well.

yeah ive noticed some TS and cam's out for it, but im waiting to see it on the big screen, if the comic is anything to go buy i know it will be a f***ing god of a movie

It made something like $70 million in its opening week in the US, and it only cost $67 million to make, so its all profit now.

This movie had pretty much everything--hundreds of Spartans, millions of Persians, swords, blood, a giant wolf, gold, severed heads, hot chicks, killer elephants, more blood, explosions, bare boobs, a dude with saws for arms, naked lesbians, even more blood, lots of hand grenades and at least one pissed-off rhinoceros.
If not for the unfortunate shortage of zombies, chainsaws, shotguns and Bruce Campbell, "300" would probably be considered the most perfect action movie in the history of mankind. It may be anyway. It kicks that much ass.

Guess it's got nothing to do with the fact that it's a comic that was inspired by the first time the Persian Immortals were recorded to have been defeated in battle.

the iranians complaining about how ancient persians are portrayed might be fair enough... but making out like its a u.s. plot to discredit modern iran is retarded. the story is not a fukn documentary... its a story. it was written in the 1950s & copied later by frank miller as a graphic novel.

History channel has a doco called 'last stand of the 300'.. not sure if its on in oz.

apart from most historians being wankers when theyre on tv, should be an intersting watch

the only problem with the movie is its way too short, they cut the battles down way too much :(

yer cinema bittorent. I am definatly going to see this at the movies though, the cam is s***house quality aswell. But the movie is awesome and well worth paying to see.

its like they cut about 2-3hrs of fighting into about 20-30min.

When the persians attack they come in waves of the different countries etc in the persian empire. Each are different looking/ different style etc. There are about 4 waves i think and each wave maybe goes for 10min if that. Which is way too short imo.

1hr50min long, and the fighting doesnt start until about 40-50min into it. It's got way too much build up and talking : fighting and killing. Would be a f***ing awesome 3hr movie with double the amount of fighting.

It's 117 minutes and that is very short imo.

Indeed. 117 minutes isn't short, thats nearly two hours, thats a good length for a movie. I'm sick of this trend to make movies 3+ hours long, and its rarely necessary.

its not necessary, but its the kind of movie you just want to see more of.

a movie leaving you wanting more is way better than one you want to end :)

300 looks like it's going to be a pretty sweet movie. IMO It just looks like a bit of action-packed fun, nothing more.

just saw it again at a better bittorent cinema and it only gets better the 2nd time u watch it cause u concentrate on more of the cool kills etc, well i did anyway.

Agreed, especially with boring movies that are purely just CGI remakes of older movies. I watched King Kong in two sittings because I kept falling asleep.

Mobster movies on the other hand should be 2.5 hours minimum!
