OK, so I bought a laptop before heading over to Ireland, it’s kick ass, but I want to know if it has a TV tuner built in, will it work for European TV?

As ya’ll know I am a total newb so don’t want to break anything just yet… any info would be good.

Well my dad brought a TV to Australia with him from Scotland about 25 years ago and it worked. I don't claim to be an expert on the matter but I'm guessing you're in with a chance.

no, no I've got pay TV (digital styles) I just want to see if it works on my laptop because this new place I am moving into is furnished but comes without a tv.

Hey I'm fairly sure the Tv Tuner will work overseas. I remember setting mine up here and it asks you what country you are from and if PAL/NTSC, cable or antenna all that stuff. Should configure fine.
