haha I got a s*** deal.
Console, 2 games and an extra s*** controller for ~$900 at WOW
This was 2 or 3 months ago.

Got it on 13months deferred payment though, so meh. Although, you'd think that after working in a call centre collecting on ge creditline accounts, I'd have more sense than to get one :(

Good fun though!

i saw an ad for a 360 premium pack for $560 (around that figure).

I think it might have been JB hifi, but you have to trade in an xbox 1, just the console

Might duck up to JB's at Taringa and check that deal out. Ta guys.

I was looking at a deal at Strathfields, it looks good at 1st but then you look closer. Ie, sign up to the Strathfield mobile 38plan for 24 months and you get a free Nokia 6020 and an Xbox 360 Pro pack. You pay $38 a month for the mobile plan and $9 a month for the Xbox.

You get $38 worth of calls and text a month included + the Xbox. Only prob there is, I dont need the phone, and if I did, you can get hundreds of dollars worth of calls and text for $40 odd a month so the mobile plan is ass.

If anyone else knows a great deal going, let me know.

hey guys,

yeah i was watching ebay for about 2 weeks and was looking for a good 'buy it now'. I waited a bit too long on one that went for about 550 and was sorta annoyed, but when this one was up there for 450 BIN I got it and was pretty impressed :P

Arrived within 2 days fine, and worked for about 5 hours..got the 3 red lights of death. Bad luck I guess, most people have had problems with their 360's.

Chaos ensued with MS and the seller but he was fine and all good, sent it off to MS, got it back the next week and been fine since.

Xbox live is fine :)

the seller isn't selling any more systems, it was just a one off, a machine he bought at launch he didn't need anymore.

it sure is tempting to "mod" my 360 when games that don't get released until a month later over here are available to be acquired on the internets

it sure is, but is it worth the risk of microsoft waking up one day and the next patch from xboxlive completely f***ing up your system if it detects the wrong firmware on your drive. that is of course if you play games on live.

You can buy the 360 pro pack for AUS$550 from Singapore. I believe since this is the NTSCj version that's it's the Japanese one so is multiregion.

BoBa,

As I understand it you can only do that with the multiregion titles, otherwise you have to wait for the australian version, unless you have a jap xbox 360.

yeah, was just referencing to TDU which you can acquire the pal version on the internets already, and the release date here is the 28th. And could have acquired saints row and dead rising weeks ago also.

I haven't had any probs with mine, but the one at work does lockup a lot compared to my own. But i've heard some storries about the red ring of death, and presonally wouldn't get one without a warranty.

mine has worked perfectly and i accidently left it on for a week solid while i was on holidays about 2 months back.

but yeah like boba said everytime ive gone to a store and seen an xbox360 display the console has always been f***ed.

LOTS f*** up. I know that everyone at IGN has had theirs break, and of the 3 people that I know that have them, including myself, they have all broken...

I hope the new mobo or whatever they did to it though has helped it, since it may have been a problem with launch period systems they have fixed by now...

anyway, I bought mine off ebay, it f***ed up but the guy I bought it off had given me his EB receipt and I contacted him and he helped me transfer the warranty over to me with Microsoft. A coulple of half hour phonecalls to MS on my behalf, and one on his behalf and it was done..

still, worth the price I got it for.

mine has had a couple of very rare weird freezes and graphical f***ups but 99.9% of the time it's been swell. It's only ~3months old tho and I use it pretty infrequently
