I was wondering if anyone has played Total Annihilation Springs. Its Open source game... free!! it a upgrade to the orginal TA. It much more balance and the graphics are quite good. You can also click on a unit and go into First Person View. Its getting quite popular with more and more Australians playing. Its about 30mb and then u download maps once you to start playing. You should give it a go!!!

in battleroom at the bottom it says more maps click on that and it goes to maps screen

Does that mean that you need to have the original CD or whatever to copy over assets? Or is everything you need (illegally, presumably) included in the downloader?

I'm debating mirroring but won't do it if it basically juarez.

all the content is supplied. althought the company seems legit, they do say that you need to own the orriginal game though (roms anyone?)

That was without a doubt the worst game I ever bought.

I still play TA every now and then how many years later?
It's a far superior game so shove off troll boi!

Just downloaded it and started playing. Pretty good, the alternate camera views are a bit of fun, especially in big battles, plus the maps are a lot more detailed and look way better. You dont really need the game, just download the Absolute Annihilation mod, basically TA but with a few extra units/buildings. Looking forward to having a huge LAN game, nothing beats the old TA (with the unit limit hack) when it comes to 2000 unit battles in the middle of the map.
