Woah thats crazy, so weird having real life actors looking like cartoons.

I personally haven't seen anything like that before (yeah that game a while back - but no a movie)

Will def be seeing this!

There's another movie that came out arounf 2000 called Waking Life that did the same thing. Should be cool.

'first 24 minutes' sounds a lot like its been dumped to tv-show status

Ever seen the animated version of Lord Of The Rings?
Didn't do the complete story, just up till Gandalf arrives with the Rohirrim to relieve the Siege. Pity really cause it was quite well done

yep that animated lord of the rings movie was done by Ralph Bakshi using the cell shading over recorded film technique... he did an early animated movie called 'fire & ice' with artist frank frazetta who some people might know because of his fantasy art books. fire & ice (1983) used the same technique as well.
more recently the japanese movie 'appleseed' (modern version) uses a combination of the cell shading & cgi which works pretty well.

seems ok i just dont see the point in animating it..if they already have the actors just use them why make cartoons of them..
