I have this strange msn problem: everytime I try to send a message i get the following error "The following message could not be delivered to all recipients:". This happens everytime I try and send a message to anyone.
Now this might be because of my connection but other people send me messages fine. I really have no idea what the problem is, msn works perfectly fine my other computers in the house so its not my connection. Im running msn version 7.0 and windows xp sp1. I really dont want to update msn messenger as with every upgrade it just hogs more resources and more ads get put in. Anyone experienced this before? I fear its just 'one of those problems' so does anyone recommend a msn client? Please put in mind I hate anything like trillian which is complicated as s***. Something nice and simple would be great. |

I have the same problem, not all the time.. but usually at the height of conversation. sometimes if i close the window, and leave it 10 seconds, then reopen i can talk for a while again. if i quit msn and reopen it it will usually work again also.
this was s***ting me to tears so i poked around google and the general answer is it has something to do with exessive handwriting use... but i hardly ever use it, so f***ed if i know. if you ever figure out whats up lemme know :) |

Upgrade your MSN. I know it's might not be what you want but unfortunately MS changes some stuff with protocols, some tweak to networking etc with just about every Messenger update - using older version of MSN client might've been the problem. Alternatively, try using Windows Messenger which AFAIK is compatible with MSN Messenger protocols with less bloat and you can get updates to the protocol etc without the bloat of MSN Messenger.
That's my $0.02 anyway |

Yeah this happened to me when I was recently forced to upgrade to the latest MSN as it wouldn't even let me sign into 6.2 anymore. I'd sign in and start talking to people fine but then all of a sudden I coudln't send s***, but could still receive messages. Highly annoying.
I didn't even wan't to upgrade as I really couldn't give a f*** about nudges and the other useless s*** involved, plus I found it dramatically slowed windows despite my 1gig of ram. Ended up reinstalling 6.2 and using a hex editor to change a couple of values to make msn think it was 7.0. Taken from the old version forums: Download: Hex Workshop Hope this helps if you're happy enough to run an older, and imo far better, version of msn. gl |

Reload I want your babies!
I have always had the newer version of msn. I remember having to update from 5 to 6 and I was really annoyed but even more annoyed when I hate to update to 7 after I formated. I actually love this verison (with msnplus to block the ads :D). Thanks! |
