My strategy:

1. Keep hands on own nads, protecting them
2. Kick half the kids in the head, one at a time.
3. Head-kicked kids are now knocked out and/or dead.
4. Uppercut remaining kids in the face.

Considering you could drop the average 10yr old easily with one half decent hit, and their graple strength and skills aren't high, it wouldn't be that hard... I reckon I could easily fend them off until I simply got too fatigued.

i would pick up 1 kid by the leg and start swinging him like a club knocking out/maiming/killing the rest of the 10 y/os

I'd savagly maul one kid and make it an example to the rest.. Say rip off his head or something... then start clubbing the rest with the dead kids limbs.. they'd all run away pretty quickly

You would just have to smash one of their noses, and the rest would back off.

i reckon if you could keep them in front of you and take out a few of the biggest first you could take out 15ish.

when you get in a real fight and the adrenilen kicks in, you only have a handful of punches to your pretty knackered.

I've been in this exact situation.
I believe the final count was 276, although there were a few unaccounted for.

Only one way to take em out, with the dragon sword, ninja gaiden style.

I reckon I'd be good for 10 to 15 before my lack of fitness turned the advantage to the little bastards. But that said if I was near a wall I could use the swing strat to devistating effect.
