I noticed there hasn't been many threads or discussion about the lions lately. I knew the bandwagon's wheels would fall off, but I thought some of you would last at least 5 games?!?

They are still playing aren't they?

They were the poo tonight, so many dropped marks infront of the sticks :/ They deserved to lose...

crap game thats why. simple really....

They went okay in the middle kicked a few in a row, but the start and end were just complete ass.

in her opinion theyre f***ed for the season with all their experienced players injured, but hopefully the fresh crop + a good draft next year will go alright

I went to a 21st at a pub and couldn't find a f***ing TV with the Lions on. What the f*** is up with that..... I guess it's a sign that the bandwagon is over for now, but I was a fan before the success and will continue to be one afterwards. Multiple TVs with the super 14 on barely got me through the night because rugby is the next best thing but I'd much rather watch the AFL.

My aim for both these psuedo-long weekends (Easter and this one) was to watch as much AFL as possible, regardless of teams playing, but everything has conspired against me and I've only fully seen the Easter monday game and will definitely watch the ANZAC day match.... anyone would think I was turning into a collingwood fan, god forbid!

Blah. I hate people who jump on the winning team bandwagon. I've been a supporter of the bears/lions since i could talk. The first game under lights at the gabba. 1996 brisbane bears vs essedon, I played at the half time game with Aus kick. Good times :)


But yes, The lions are playing s***e this year. They have the skills there with the rookies. But they just need to pull it together.

i dont really follow AFL or anything but since i live on the gold coast me and a few mates made our way to carrara stadium for the hawthorne vs brisbane lions last night and had a pretty damn good night, nice atmosphere for the first AFL game i;ve been too

the people i was with were mostly hawthorne supporters though so i lol'd at them pretty muchly, they didnt scoret till the second quarter and in the end lost by 50 points, gg lions

im off to the fremantle game in a few weeks time

it sure is tough being a lions supporter right now

last nites game has given me hope we can get it together still (even if it is just against the hawks without their guns)

aker is getting cheaper by the second

hopefully they sack him and he goes and plays for another club, its a rediculous scenario that he isn't in the side.

I definitely am one of the ones who got on the Lions bandwagon when they started winning. I unfortunately do not watch them much anymore but would still love to go along to see a live game again and again.

Even though I may be a slackarse bandwagon fans, jumping on the bandwagon for the very least gave me some understanding of the sport and a s*** load more respect than I previously had. Bandwagoning is only gay if you then go the opposite way and start to pay out the sport again because of trends.

When is the next good game going to be in Brizvegas?

In two weeks there is Lions vs. Fremantle on sunday, four weeks Lions vs. Adelaide on sat night (we should get pumped there) and in five weeks Lions vs. Western Bulldogs on sat night (can be a bit spiteful).

I have been going to the games since 1997, and went to the grand final in 2001. Regardless of there recent losses, i still follow the team. People always loose interest when a team looses. It doesn't seem to be affecting the ground attendance, the gabba is almost/ if not full most
