I currently have a dedicated server (not a virtual) hosted in the US by http://www.valueweb.com/. The cost is US$59/mth and I get a P4 1.7Ghz, 512Mb RAM, 80Gb HDD, 1000Gb of data transfer a month and runs Fedora. The server is completly self-managed as I have root access.
Now the servers getting a bit on in age so I'm looking around to replace it.. does anyone have any recommendations on dedicated server hosting for around about the same price? I can't do shared hosting because I run some other applications on the server (Teamspeak, Vent, etc) and some of the, err.. "content" is probably not allowed on a shared hosting plan. Cheers! |

No problems at all.. the port I'm on is 10mbit half-duplex (hence why the price is cheap) but I get sustained download speeds of about 300-400kb/sec (I'm on BPA cable).
From US based sites its regularly topping out about 600-700kb/sec. I found http://www.serverpronto.com/ which has starting packages from US$29.95/mth |

Well, not unlimited.. an Unmetered 5mbit connection. Which means you can do 5mbit 24/7 all month if you like. Obviously cannot be unlimited and be limited at 5mbit.
