im after: - 0guage power cable for the sub, running from the boot to the battery terminal in the engine bay, maybe 5 metres or something, terminal connectors on the end of the power cable would be good too - 150amp fuse and fuse holder - remote turn on, thin blue cable, run from the HU to the boot, maybe 4 metres or so - RCA cable, HU to amp, sub preouts cable cheers, if anyone can help me out with any of this stuff it would be greatly appreciated. brad |

mate if you go to jaycar you can buy the stuff for the rca plugs its easier and cheaper to make your own then to buy them even second hand, think its like $1.50/m ish for the cable, if you have a soldering iron you can make them yourself, as for the remote cable that will cost you all of about $2 to buy ey

autobarn have wire packs too, not sure if they include the 0 gauge stuff, I know they have some thick stuff for power but I dunno what gauge it is. Why the hell do you need the uber uber thick stuff? (which I'm guessing 0 is). Surely that stuff is only really needed if you plan to run your thing at max output for soundoffs & s***, surely you wouldn't need it for every day driving?
My rule of thumb is, if my amp power lead needs to be thicker than my starter motor lead it just ain't worth it. |

Why someone uses gauge 0 then says, I need to save money on wires is beyond me. If you got gear that REQUIRES gauge 0 then I don't think money should be a issue. :|

If it was me, I wouldn't be looking for cheap second hand stuff. You want your system to crank, and in order for that to happen you may have to spend a little more $$ to get what you want.

ahh i decided not to stinge in the end, got a mate to put aside all new stinger pro gear for me. cost a wee bit more than i hoped but its all good :)
ive got a jbl 15" wgti retail for about $1600-1800 and an earthquake ph2 mark 2 retailing at about $2500 to run the sub. about 2000watts or so. maybe a bit more about 150db too with that combo of sub+amp thats why i need some serious cabling :) |
