How much of another company do you have to own before you can legally claim that your product is more innovative than the other, even though it isn't? Sharing is a pretty big term, it gives strong mental images of a big happy corporate world. A world were Bill Gates and Steve Jobs go down to the park and hold hands while they discuss how they can enrich the experience of their users.

They do some collaborative research with each other and they exchange the rights to use each others protected work. However, using your simple analogy that they 'share' technology with each other, if I share my (patented) ideas with you, does that give you the right to claim that they are your ideas?
