Are you really admitting to being gay??

If you don't see that this is a joke then you are the most retarded s*** rooting poofter on the face of this planet.

But you know its true that VOlvo's own you :P

In what way did yo indicate in your post that it was a joke? I used :p and anyone that has read my posts know I like to bulls*** about my Volvo. Your post had nothing to indicate that you were not serious and having a cry like all the other Holden driving fags would. No offence :P

Yeah it is man - you got it. I was just sitting with mates and trying to think of a net nick and someone said Torana and I thought turn it round - and it stuck :)

I was thinking of changin to Ovlov actually :P

I have to say the best feeling in the world is beating people in a race witha a volvo - when I beat ppl at the lights (and yes this does happen a fair bit even when they try - ususally poofs in their try-hard fours) they get sooo pissed at me :)

Well you are right it is a 240 but its not old, and its not yellow. I wouldn't drive one of the rusty old ones you see around - mine is clean and in good condition, despite having huge k's on the clock.

Plus 240's all f***ing rule you anyway :)

Hey fellas..
just wondering if ne1 knows of some good low km cars (have to be small 4cylinder for my sister) under the price of say bout $8000??
she's lookin at some lancers and she doesn't really know what to get

ANy Lancer for that money would be complete s***. THe best small fours for around that money would be the FOrd Laser/Mazda 323, Toyota Corolla and Nissan Pulsar. ALl of these cars are reliable, have plenty of parts availability, good insurance prices, are good to drive, look ok. Older Civics are also good but insurance and parts are more expensive for them.

For that you could prolly get an alright later model 240 Volvo that would be an excellent car - extremely safe and reliable, well built, can get parts pretty easy - insurance companies love them. They are also roomy, drive well, have adequate performance etc.

Silver-ice - no i don't hang around that - what is the addy for it - sounds interesting.

well we found a couple of lancers yesterday for like $9000 with 80000km on th clock and it drove pretty good but the FAGGETS at the f***ing car yard were gonna give us $1000 for a trade...
they can get f***ed by their uncles with that price..

I've got a 97 Pulsar. It was $17,000 w/ 40,000k's on the clock almost two years ago now. I'm expecting it to last me at least another 100,000k's or more.

My sister is in the process of replacing her 89 Pulsar (they've already bought a Hilux, so need to find someone to by the Pulsar now) It's old, and has a lot of k's on the clock, but it's still going strong (and is probably still a little quicker than mine, coz it's a 1.8 vs my 1.6 and those models were much smaller than the current ones)

I'd definitely recommend a Pulsar - I've heard nothing bad about them and you seem to be able to flog the s*** out of them without breaking them. =)

An EA Falcon at any price could not possibly be a good deal. I've heard too many horror stories about them (mostly about the auto)

silver_ice: You mean there's two separate volvo lovers out there somewhere? :) (not that I can talk... damn I want a C70. :)

Nope. All Pulsars are front, except for the all-wheel-drive GTiR, which is not available here. :(

f*** JB - that is like the gayest thing I have ever heard. What small car do you know of that is rear-wheel driven???

Oh and yeah - 308 Commodore drivers are some of the biggest wankers around - rivalled only by Excel drivers. Every f***** and his dog owns a Commodore or an Excel and they all think they are the best performance cars in the world - its truly pathetic.

I think that the 202 wankers with "V8 Wannabe exhausts" and 253 "Half a V8" drivers are worse than us 308 boys. At least we have a "real" V8

but yer, it takes a bit of work still for the 308 to be considered "performance"

AnaRoT, you're a classic. Just a pity that if your Volvo ever got run over by a Mack truck (or even a Volvo truck, if you want to be ironic), you'd be unscathed and probably even unaware. :)

Yeah not wrong Cerb. Its nice driving around in a car that is not falling apart around me, unlike most other pieces of s*** on the road. I know ppl that have been hit by a train in a 240 wagon and they survived. That is safety :)

And yeah Silver-Ice I agree with that statement too - to a point anyway. I mean, if you want a REAL V8 then you just have to get a Ford. SHOW US YA CLEVO!!!

Hey all you ozzie mothaf***ers. I'd just like to that Volvo's are righteous cars - I enjoy ramming the s*** outa them in my GMC pickup. The best thing is that you can hit more than once cos they are made of titanium or some s***.

i would just like to say that there is nothing wrong with volvos just the people that drive them (no offence aranot)

i get real pissed off when i see some 50 year old faget driving a volvo in the overtaking lane doing 60 in a hundred zone

but when it boils down it doesnt matter what car you have just how beasty your computer is :P~

What pisses me off more than the old man in the Volvo, is the old guy in the Supra, or 300ZX, etc, etc... That's just a waste, seeing awesome cars like that doing half the speed limit.

f***!!! My post didn't word dammit.

Hey f***pot - I was at QGL for like 3 hours - better than you bitch :P

And yeah - I f***ing hate Volvo drivers except myself and George of course :)

And yeah Cerb I truly hate cars being wasted like that. There is this chick in grade 12 at some school that was given a brand new Benz SLK 230K by her parents, and she is like fully a square. I bet she disengages traction control once in the time between when she got it and when she inevitably crashes it... its sooo unfair.

Oh yeah, there are some drivers worse than Volvo drivers - you ever been in a car with Lancer drive - OMFG!!!! haha j/k Mick :P

Hey sif you would give ya kid a poofy Mercedes! Being a rich and famous (and awesome) musician, I am gonna buy my kids an All American Dodge Viper each. None of this f***** euro trash.

Oh and by the way, Quake 1 kicks the s*** outa all these new newbie friendly shooting games. Used to play a bit between concerts to relax on tour. Just a f***ing pity that they didn't use MetallicA on the sound track rather than that Trent Reznour crap....

How's about we get back to the topic guys - CARS.

Went for a ride in a nice Lancer today. It was surprising how responsive the little engine was in it - went nice and sounded great with sports exhaust system. There is also the fact that with a small car you feel no pain in an accident - you die instantly :P

There you go Mick - a nice rap for your car (sorta hehe).

My Volvo still owns it though :P'''

Ok what about the 200sx (s15) that finally made it to Australia (selling new) how does that stack up against your volvo?

Theres a good run down of it at www.nissan.com.au, 6 speed would be fun aswell.

Thanx for that Ana :) Yeah I guess one of the best traits of my car is its smoothness and handling (when I drive it sensibley). Oh and the looks :( when its finished anyhow...

But next year when I have some cash Ill start working on the engine and then Ill own your volvo.. hehe

Yeah for that money I would get a second hand Series 6 RX 7.

They look f***ing awesome go f***ing awesome and handle f***ing awesomer. What more could you want?

Oh and Mick, by the time you get more power from the Lancer I will have a 351 Cleveland in my Volvo so it will still own you :P (I wish...).
