Anyone played this? It's in the steam games menu, it's like half life, but a platform version...quite odd. Addictive too :(
Sort of reminds me of jazz jackrabit, but with gordon freeman. Discuss. |

You can get it from places other than steam, but they prolly aren't legal.
Played it. It's fun. It's very much like Abuse, which is a good thing. I love how all the HL sounds are reused, particularly the familiar thud of hitting a zombie in the head with ye olde crowbar. |

Jazz Jackrabbit was one of those 'classic' pc platformers like early Duke Nukem platformers.
I also saw a Doom platform game on that well known abandonware site that I can't mention here. |

I decided to give this game a go after reading this thread, and i must say it aint half bad.
it was a little slow and really started to chunk in places (not sure why) but was actually pretty good fun. |

My fav platformer of all time award goes to the original Rayman (still love the soundtrack too).
Damn difficult though - never managed to finish it :( |

If Gordon was an actual side-scroller it might've been ok

The original Duke Nukem platformers were excellent, and still had that same Duke charm :)
I loved it at the start of Duke Nukem 2 how he gets kidnapped by aliens while he's on a talk show, discussing his new autobiography entitled "Why I'm so good". And then manages to bust out of an alien jail cell using a bomb cunningly disguised a a fake molar tooth :P Jazz jackrabbit was alright, as I recall it had some kind of pseudo 3D bonus stage. Jazz jackrabbit 2 was better in my opinion, it had network capability and during year 12 we continually thrashed out games of CTF instead of actually doing work :) |

Cainer game, compiled in flash with actionscript.
Seems it uses this projector to make it play at decent speeds. I want one :( Edit: Fixed link last edited by Hashy at 14:16:34 29/May/04 |

If that's jazz jackrabbit it's the gameboy version or something equally gay.
PC version looks TOTALLY different. |

I think thats like 2 or 3 or something but yeah gayness all round for that one. The original Jazz was sweet, so were the 2 duke nukems, electroman, commander keens, jill of the jungle ah the good ol' days when we first got our 486.

My fav platformer of all time award goes to the original Rayman (still love the soundtrack too). Agreed to the max, by the way. I finished it on 100% (all cages etc) - easily the most play I've gotten out of an action platformer. Loved. Loved. Loved It. |
