The Aftershock semi finals were on last night and tonight, last night saw
xD take on New Zealands top clan D2D, xd leech sends in this report of the tough fought game:
Tonight the first war of the Semi Finals were played between the top 2 ranking clans of the Aftershock Rocket Arena 3 Competition, xD Australian clan and D2D New Zealand clan consisting of Mirage and DAB^18.
The war was played at 10:00pm NZ time and 8:00pm NSW, 7:00pm QLD. Best of 5 maps, and loser had choice of the next map then it rotated after the first map.
As the clock ticked 8:00pm all xD and D2D had allready been waiting anxiously in the server for the game that determined who went to the finals and who had to battle there way back into the finals.
It was ra3map5, xD and D2D had joined the appropriate team and the match was on its way. Taking the aussies some time to warm up D2D had taken the advantage and won a few rounds. The xD turned up the heat, after a long wait the map came to an end of 5-2. Moving onto D2D's choice of ra3map7, a previous map xD had played them in and got totally owned. This time the it was a different story, xD using there strengths to abolish D2D 5-2 quickly. Then came the decider for xD, our choice and it was ra3map1, one map we have won before against the notorious D2D and hoped to do it again. To our luck we played with great consistency and won the decider 5-3, winning the match 3-0 and doing the aussies proud.
Next to come in the Semi Finals playoff is the A-BOM (fellow aussies) vs RD (nz bunch) on the 15th, tomorrow night. Hopefully we see another Aussie victory and we can see them into the finals too.
