ive been looking for a place to get some questions answered and i think i might have found it :-)

For the last few years i have been wanting to get into designing games, and i can use 3D Studio max and Lightwave. This year it is my last year of school, and next year i am looking at getting some certificates since most places want some paperwork. The first question is, where are the best places to go for 3D moddeling and animation? I've looked at IDEA and CGC in melbourne, but what about some other places? IDEA is very limited and CGC offers a bit more but not much.

When i get some paperwork put together, i need to put together a folio and resume. The second question is what types of stuff do i really need in it? ive read on the Irrational and a couple of other websites that i need pictures showing work and game design documents etc etc... None of them are really specific about the types of things that should be in it, hopefully someone can clarify that :-P

Anyone with some info on those questions would be great :-)
