If you don't mind gore and s***....try the Mater Hospital or any hospital for that matter, (either Public or Private) for casual Orderly work.. whether it be in the operating theatres or in the Wards...
Im in the theatres in the Wesley hospital, sorry all spaces are taken but have heard that there is work in most if not all hospitals. You don't need any qualificatiions, just be tolerent of blood and be physically fit... thats about all i can say...

Put simply As of my Job Description
I setup a theatre for an operation (specialised equipment for certain operations) then I wheel a patient into the operating room, they could be having any number of things done to them, from a knee reconstruction to a bit of brain surgery....They are then put to sleep (no i don't king hit them from behind), and I move the patient into the position most desireable for the surgeon to carry out his work with little or no stress on the patients body.

Then I move the patient back to their bed and wheel them to a recovery area and clean up all their blood and muck that they could have spilled.

Pay for casual work is about $13.45 an hour with about 19% casual loading, evenings attracts an additional 9% on top of that. All up its about $16.50 an hour on average. To put that in perspective for the last 2 months I have worked 8 hours a day, five days a week.

How do you go about getting a job like this? I sorta need a job atm, and being a beefy bastard I can lift more dead people :P Is there an email or something, cause my ass has sorta moulded to this chair and I get laffed at when I walk around town with a chair stuck to my ass :)

as I said earlier, you just need to ring up the human resourse departments of any major hospital....its probably best to try the "private" hospitals first as they tend to teach people the necessary skills needed, the public health system just throws you head first...something you do not want...again....thats something you DO NOT want...
