i am going for my licence next monday. do any of you have any good tips from when u got your licence?

The pedal on the left is the clutch, the one in the middle is the brake. Those two are useless - you only need to worry about the one on the right - throttle. This should be depressed to the floor at all times :)

Good luck mate. Just take it easy and TRY to relax. Don't think too much - if you have had plenty of successful practice, just drive naturally but make sure you are aware of stop signs etc - keep an eye out for thick white lines at intersections, cos sometimes the stop signs are hard to see.

and dont do donuts in the carpark

If you do, make sure you tell the tester that you won't stop unless he passes you :P

if you wanna good car to drive for your test get a volvo that way you wont go over the speed limit : )

i cant drive for s***. the f***en pedals are too small for my feet.

Having lessons makes so much difference since most of the instructors know the testers and I am pretty sure they are all in the same bed.

Make sure you can reverse down a street backwards the same distance from the pavement.

If you havent had lessons and are trying for a manual liscence your chances are probably low so dont worry if you dont get it first shot.

Lessons are for fags. I never had a lesson in my life.
But I was lucky - I lived on a farm so I had somewhere to go rank and teach my self to do burnou.... I mean to drive :)

sif i didnt get it on first attempt. I had ma4dsk1ll learners abilities.

Only thing i got wrong is some s*** about being allowed to exceed the speed limit when overtaking. MENTAL NOTE: dont learn from brothers driving.

My test was easy, we went around the suburb looking at the new houses then drove back.
Simple.....just don't stall the car on a hill. Leave the bitch in second and keep reving it. easy as pie. :)

Someone told me you need to be a certain age to drive a V8, never found out if it was bs or truth.

And Im not talking about the skill to drive the car Anarot but the knowledge of road rules that you cant really pick up from driving (like turning left into left and right into right lanes. if u dont do it that will get you a cross each time with some testers)

i have also been driving for yonks anarot-on my driveway just moving cars but its still practice

i had a lesson last saturday to touch up anything the dude might ask me... and i passed my leaners test first go

Mine is an 88 model 240GL. Its got 340 000 k's on it without anything done to the engine and it doesn't have one rattle in it.

Its a 4 speed auto. Nah I live in Toowoomba - haven't been to brissy for a week or so. You'll know my car - its got fluffy dice on the mirror and a nodding dog on the rear parcel shelf :P OH and it'll most likely be revving like s*** hehe.
