there really isn't any tweaking i can do on this nrl one at all

hopefully they get some more options going next year

i imagine with oztips completely selling out the nrl tipping would have gained quite a few more people so hopefully they get their s*** together

unfortunately the gap between the top 4 and the bottom 4 is rather large, the rabbits probably being the only question mark of the top 4 teams due to consistency and well just being the rabbits. you're just waiting for it all to go wrong as usual

Wasnt a great game, lot of errors but was good game.
Dawgies are a solid side, Tollman was awesome.
Pritchard and the other Mossie are big boppas.

The only thing better than Manly losing is Storm losing.
Manly were in trouble losing Lyon he is the Lockeyer of Manly.
excellent captain big talker on the field.

The only thing worse than the Broncos last night was South Sydney.

I think Thaiday sucks as a Captain.
Cowboys will do a Manly team missing Lyon and Matau.

http://www.couriermail.com.au/news/national/hadley-sued-over-rabbits-statue/story-fndo1uez-1226468080678

The next day on Nine's rugby league show The Sunday Roast, Voss questioned the statue's likeness to Warren, which sparked a furious on-air response from Hadley and former Test star and league Immortal Bob Fulton

Hadley was on a rare day off on that Sunday in August when he phoned the studio and demanded to be put to air after hearing of Voss's comments on Sunday Roast.

After Hadley, 57, tore strips off him on air two days in a row - calling him names and spelling them out for impact - Voss sued.

SO thats the Vossy story.
Id heard it had something to do with Hadley being peeved that Vossy was his understudy at 2GB and had got a deal with 9 to call the League.

Yeah should be a good game, would be happy for either team to win. Will probably barrack for the Doggies, they've been great all year.

Was expecting more out of last nights match, it was a good game but it had hints of being great at the beginning when Isac Luke was tearing it up out of dummy half. I was hoping for a Bunnies v Dogs finals at the start of the finals series so was a bit disappointed when it didn't quite reach that level of game.

Hopefully no injuries will ruin next weeks game.

roosters have said they aren't chasing his signature

without prior planning i can't see how most teams have any room for him off the cuff, he's going to want big dollars. anasta finished at the roosters this year but they also bought james maloney from the warriors on some massive 4 year deal they he signed like last year

i think just because he says he wants to play along side SBW doesn't mean it's going to happen

broncos are possibly one team in a position to offer him something, some big names leaving in the past 2 years you'd think they would have some room hence why they would be chasing a massive signing like thurston's

I am guessing you are talking about Quade Cooper - I read that article this morning. Him leaving rugby could quite possibly be the best thing that could happen to rugby at the moment. He will do well in rugby league I think. The All Blacks have really broken him mentally.

Who would he play State of Origin for?

Well considering league is essentially dumbed-down and sped up union, and considering his running the ball playing style and good (when he is not demoralised by the ABs) kicking game I think he'd fit nicely. What about him makes you think he wouldn't be a good league player?

Union is a lazy version of League.
The reason League was dreamed up was because Union was too slow and boring.
Cooper would have to work a lot harder in League.

Cooper hasnt played any League therefore if his first game was with say The Roosters he would be a NSW Origin player. But the rules are very vague, that popollina guy who played with KIWI junior test side has decided he wants to play for QLD.

Its a money thing, you get a couple of thousand to represent KIWIs or 4-5 times that amount to play for QLD.

The solution is to allow non-QLD/NSW players to play Origin and still represent NZ and to maybe have Pacific Islanders included in the NZ Test team. When I see Benji Marshall i think of him as NSW, Tollman and Burgess are NSW players.
Besides, NSW cant win anymore so we need to adjust the game to help them become more competitive.

disagree completely with letting kiwis and s*** play state of origin with no reprisals (ie. ineligablity to play for nz)

i know the rules deciding where you play have been dodgy at times, apparently it's more straight forward now as of next season. but it would completely destroy any idea of what state of origin was originally about

This sounds like pointlessly clinging onto tradition for no good reason to me. State of Origin is about half of the best players in league vs. the other best half. The quality is going to ebb and flow and teams are occasionally going to be mis-matched like right now (seems to be getting closer with the last series thank god) but that's the nature of the beast. As long as the players playing Origin are playing or are eligible to play for Australia I don't have a problem with it.

I reckon players should be able to choose who they play for. If I was a gun footballer I probably would have ended up playing for QLD in SoO despite the fact I have been a die-hard NSW supporter since I was knee-high to a Gary Coleman. I'd be f***ing pissed if I had to play for QLD - in fact I'd probably just refuse to play. I wonder how many players were put in that situation.

so we'll call it something else then

the criteria is already fairly loose (though as i mentioned, apparently has been tightened upas of next year) as to who plays for who

james tamou the cowboys front rower who played for nsw this year is a kiwi, he chose to play for nsw/aus and that is fine (sort off, i still think it's retarded a bit) but getting to play for kiwis and then slot into the nsw team at state of origin time is just totally retarded imo. there has to be some kind of definining

why would anyone be s***ty about playing for the state they were born in and 1 would assuming went for their whole life?

NRL isn't the only game that gets important calls wrong.

Description:

I am not a Packers fan and there were many horrible calls the whole game. But this call was just terrible. This was ruled a touchdown although it was clearly an interception by the Packers. This was the monday night game on 9/24/2012.

Basically, this was in the final seconds of the game. It was ruled a Seahawks touchdown, despite Greenbay intercepting the ball. Seahawks won as a result. The video begins after this play has occurred, wherein the Packers are refusing to come back onto the field to allow the Seattle to kick the PAT and finish the game (I used this particular video because it includes the best replay angles).

Here's a high quality video of the play as it happened live:

I dont think Johnns should be an Immortal, he is not a great player, he was a good player but no Mal Meninga.
Johns Drug taking is also a stain on the game as was his mysterious quitting of the Knights.

yeah bah i've also seen a shirt with '2012 minor premiers' in the cantebury shop at chermside - they're making the most of it

for the storm it's just business as usual lul

facey he was a pretty great player, i always thought to get into the immortals it was based on your on field and off field service to rugby league. but i have found out it is purely based on your on field performance

lockyer will be there

Storm are Favourites in betting.
I heard on ABC radio that Slater has the Flu real bad and they are watching the other players hoping it hasnt spread.

Storm could lose some players if hes spread it.

Nothing quite like having your best player come down with the "flu" a couple of days out from the biggest match of the year. Doubt the Doggies will pay too much attention to it :p

Looks like Folau might be coming back.

Eels seem like the most likely prospect. Damn, the Maroons are going to be even stronger now :(

He will be mercilessly sledged.
I guess his comeback will be 'yeah but i got $$$$'

If hes going to the eels it must be because he wants to live in Sydney.
I would have thought he'd be keen to come to the Broncos though or even The Titans who would have some room in the Cap.

Although, arent a few of the Eels born again Christians or something ?
Folau is a Religious dude too i think.

or maybe his come back will be more like 'yeah i gave it a go and didn't like it' ...

no doubt they will sledge him but anyone with half a brain cell would rather see a superstar like that back in the game rather than playing gayfl

i'd love to see him back at the broncos but he's probably setup in sydney and is still keen to keep his family at arms distance who are in brisbane

i guess he wasnt enough of an athlete to compete in the afl.

its not like league where any over weight boofhead can be a super star.

you need to be an athelete to make it in the afl.

He'll be the fittest dude in whatever team he joins now

eels will be throwing the kitchen sink at him, they need good press as well as actual decent players

did his job (purely marketing and hype), i figured he'd do his contract (was it 3 years?) and then head back, but probably a good thing he goes now, won't stymie the development over the next couple of years of Patton/Cameron in the forward line for GWS, he's much worse and older.

If anything they need a experienced big forward to help shield them until they grow a bit more, folau was unable to do that cos he can't seem to read the game at all.
For anyone who is interested in the aussie rules, what's the bet that GWS push hard for Kurt Tippett now? If he slips into the draft after these contract shenanigans at Adelaide then i reckon they'll snap him up.

ricky stuart to get sacked by another club. hayne cant direct a team, he just does a few good things per game when he feels like chiming in.

hayne will shift to 6. retard folau will do his best at 1.

hopefully somehow scott prince gets hit by a bus
