Anyone seen the previews for Dune 3? Looks pretty good to me. Anyhow, for those who don't know, Dune 3 is a remake of Dune2, only using 1337 new 3d graphics... I sense a trend there :).Hopefully its a lot better than TS or RA2. Anyone else looking foward to it?

Oh, I was about to ask how Dune 3 could come after Dune 2000. But it's a remake of Dune 2.... okay... unless Dune 2 is Dune 2000.... my head hurts. :(

Lol. Hmm well I think its actually titled Emperor: Battle for Dune or something along those lines. Anyhow, the avi I saw of ingame footage looked very nice indeed.

Good God, you have it all wrong
Dune 2 was the original, then Dune 2000 was a remake of Dune 2, hence everything being the same.
Dune 3 is after dune 2/2000. The Emperor is dead and all this others s***. It goes like this, Dune 2, Dune 2000 and now Dune 3 which is on from Dune 2

Come on, I already said my head hurts... enough already. :)

Dune 2000 was pretty good. Can't remember why I stopped playing it. I think it was probably uni's fault. :(

Storylines aside, you've got to admit that it looks pretty damn good.

i doubt it follows the storyline of the dune mini series recently aired in the US, as I've seen that series and it follows the frank herberts first trilogy of dune books. im not sure how the emporer: battle for dune fits in to the continuity (as i havent read the books before).

the mini series is definately cool. though there are some dodgy bits (eg. it was painfully obvious that the large desert scenes were shot in a set) if you can ignore all that, its pretty awesome.

[edit] yes, its true, i dont make that much sense [/edit]

actually according to this interview, the game is set "a few centuries before the story in the novels"
