i was wondering if anybody could help me fix this problem. a couple of days ago i was dropped from a cs server during the map change. it came up with an error saying "couldn't load valve/halflife.wad" i have tried replacing my halflife.wad file with another persons and i have also uninstalled and re-installed halflife and still the problem persists. it also does it in team fortress. somebody PELASE help me with this problem. oh and it also only ever does it when the server is changing maps. thanks |

Hmm the only cause of that problem would probably be corrupt or missing file, which you replaced, so that should rule it out. One question though, when you uninstalled Half-Life, did you delete the entire halflife folder before reinstalling? When you use the uninstall function certain files such as cfg's and the like aren't removed and could cause problems. If you have deleted the folder before reinstalling, then theres definately something wrong. |
