Hey guys, gals and hermaphrodites.

I have the need for speed, also the need for a new projector.

I’m wondering if anyone has any experience with ones which have a USB port in it which one fine noble sir can straight off the bat play things from the common usb stick; like powerpoint/jpeg pictures (porn and junk, lol).

I’ve had a quick look and it seems the powerpoint projectors actually convert your powerpoint presentation over to jpegs and then via remote you can switch between slides.

Can anyone recommend an okay model which actually does USB and the powerpoint thingo.

Any help would be great!

Cheers

intersex, nice word, I will use that

Also, have a look at the short throw projectors. I really like them. Basically they correct aberration using shaped lenses/mirrors so you can sit them on the floor (or roof-mount) like 30cm from the projection surface. They are pretty amazing.

Yeah those mini-projectors are hot. Haven't seen one IRL yet, but that one there is only $365 AU

Something like this http://www.amazon.com/IOGear-Wireless-USB-2-0-GUW2015VKIT/dp/B001FSMB0S + vga projector do the trick?

Or did you mean a projector with a usb host interface

Thanks for the suggestions, technology is crazy isn't it?

I'm looking for a projector with a direct USB interface, where I can plug a memory stick in and play powerpoints or such without the need for it to be hooked up to a computer.
