Seems there is a possible search and rescue in my area(round the corner) of possible child swept away in creek.

3-4 helicopters circling the creek from high with one of them laying very low to ground to get better look

Not 100%, have to wait and see what is said on the news..

BREAKING: POLICE are searching for a boy,11, feared swept away in a swollen creek at Wishart, on Brisbane's south side.

The boy went missing at Bulimba Creek about 1.30pm, and police were contacted about 20 minutes later. A boat has been launched on the creek to search for the boy, while the RACQ rescue helicopter has also been tasked to the area.

Police said the boy was playing nearby when he fell into the creek and managed to grab hold of a tree limb. Children he was playing with went to get assistance for the boy however when they returned he was missing.

Vessels from the Water Police, QFRS and SES are involved in the search of the creek. QFRS duty manager of operations Lawrence Bell said the boy had been playing near the creek when the incident occurred.

"He fell in while he was playing near the creek. They've had a lot of rain down that way as well. We've got all the resources we can on site including four teams searching the river banks," he said.

It's not a small creek, runs for a fair distance. They are still buzzing around, but seems they have gone further down stream to see if they can find anything.

7 news reported that he was sitting on a tree branch when it snapped and he fell in. Which makes it that much dumber than what that news article suggests.

We ride our bikes along the path/bridge they showed on news today. Freaky.

Edit: The family looked like Sudi's or something, guess there's not a lot of call for swimming back home.
