yea, its live streamed, low BW works fine on 3G. Not that much SEQ content apart from brisbane metro fire fighters and some goldcoast marine and surflife saving stuff. There was gold coast police freqs but they dont seem to be on there anymore (was good listening over schoolies).

Yeah I had an argument with my housemate about this, because he reckons you can still pick up Brisbane cop radio on an ordinary analogue radio. I remember a few years back my mates and I used to listen in on the scanner and rock up to incidents hoping to get video/pics to sell. I distinctly remember not getting Brisbane police anymore. I think police in other cities are still analogue though.

Can anybody confirm or correct this?

the ambos and fireys will be too in a while but the cop one is already. i have it in good authority that this is the case from someone in the industry. thats all.

You're right about the encryption for Brisbane but you can still receive Redcliffe/Caboolture and Logan etc via analogue receivers.

Down Wynnum way we got about 5mm. Rain almost skipped us completely, sad.
