Panda Labs are reporting that twitter was compromised earlier. Nothing confirmed from twitter yet but I would recommend you update your passwords if you use it.

Looks like it wasn't hacked but their DNS was redirected.
http://status.twitter.com/post/288586541/working-on-site-outage So larger chance passwords were compromised. |

i dont know how thats a larger chance to be comprimised unless the hackers made a phished page
they didnt, so your info should be safe, unless you were doing some sort of automated password entry and they were smart enough to capture the data (remember these guys strap bombs to themselves to prove a point - i'm guessing they arnt that smart) |

Many people use the same account details across all their accounts. Twitter holds your email address, so they retrieve your twitter logins, pull your email address from the database and you could simply get spammed. Or they could login to your accounts and try resetting your account from facebook/myspace/asx.com.au or whatever. Don't underestimate how easy it is to get owned online. The smallest thing is all I need to get into the hardest security system.
