This was announced earlier today at the Spike Video Game Awards, hence why the video is a camjob & not all shiny like. There's not any gameplay footage shown in the video, but it definitely hints that there's more of the good stuff coming for those who enjoyed the first Force Unleashed game (Dual Lightsabers hellllo).

Website's also up at http://www.unleashed2010.com, but there's nothing much online yet beyond the option to register to get updates & a link telling us the trailer will be on there Dec 14 (US time obviously).

Now all we need is an announcement that there's a new X-Wing/TIE Fighter game coming next year and that it's going to be a simulator. At which point I'd be happy to declare 2010 the best year ever.

gametrailers.com has their trailers in all their shiny glory. Hopefully the lightsabers actually slice and dice people this time though.

Never played the first one, I tried the demo and it didn't really seem that good.

It had lightsabers, good implementations of force powers and was fun enough to play. Maybe being a big Star Wars fan blindsides me to some of it, but I found myself enjoying TFU a fair bit. If they've listened to the criticisms, I can't see this turning out too badly - I'll still likely end up buying it regardless.

was the first one ever ported to PC?

Watched some of the other trailers, that new Medal of Honor game looks like it could be pretty good, and Halo: Reach looks sexy. Arkham Asylum 2 was inevitable and the trailer for it was pretty worthless, same as the Prince of Persia one. I'll start getting interested when they show more than some pre-rendered cinematic.

Also, Green Day: Rock Band, seriously, is that really necessary?

yeah it was.

it was called Star Wars Force Unleashed Ultimate Sith Edition or something like that.

the Wii version kept locking up half way through so I bailed on it.

The original TFU wasn't too bad, but tired video game cliches were starting to tally up by the end of it.

- Give a wide range of special abilities (force powers) and then ensure that only 1 or 2 out of 10 are good enough to dispatch the approaching horde
- Stupid jumping puzzle right after the end of a hard boss fight, fall in the lava then you can only restore from your checkpoint before the boss fight
- Wear down the boss until you he opens his weak spot, then repeat this three times

Nasty clipping problems were a pain sometimes too, but thankfully it happened fairly infrequently.

I'd hire it out from a videoshop eh.. unless it's like $20 on Steam now or something it just wasn't worth the bucks imo
