Hey guys,
Preface: I have a wireless network at home but when I get home I plug in a cat5 cable and it still uses the wifi preferentially for the internet. Is there anyway to change this so that it uses the wired connection first. I think I remember in XP there was an option to change the order of network connections it tries to use first (as I had to move hamachi to the top to play some games over the net) Im using windows 7 build 7100 Cheers |

Control Panel -> Network and Internet -> Network Connections
Press ALT-N then goto advanced settings and the adapter order is there. Bump LAN up above Wifi. |

not sure about windows 7.
But in xp you have to goto the view network connections window. On the menu bar is "Advanced" > "Additional Settings". Can choose the order of preference here. |
